Notable Events
Track key milestones and site impacts on the project timeline, then see them on dashboards and overlapping activities.
Notable events are project-level markers: a title, a category, a start, and an optional end. General, minor, or major. Completions leads use them for outages, merges, and the week everything moved — not for task dependencies.
On desktop, permissioned users create and edit events. A header banner looks a month ahead. Overview charts shade the ranges. Activity panels show events that overlap the activity window. Field shows those chips read-only. Some system flows, such as a hierarchy merge, can write an event for you.
Context on the chart and on the activity
A spike on the S-curve is easier to explain when the outage is already on the chart. An activity that sat through a major event shows that chip instead of leaving the assignee to remember why the week went sideways.
