2-Way Drawing & Database Link
Instant navigation between engineering drawings and the completions database — overlays on the drawings, records in the register, and a revision compare when the drawings change.
Once a scrape is committed, the drawing is not a dead PDF. The document viewer loads the stored extract as overlays. Click a tag on the drawing and the tag record opens if it exists in the project. From the tag, referenced documents point back at the pinned revision you scraped.
That is the two-way link: drawing to database, database to drawing provenance. Overlay positions are not written back into the PDF. When a new revision lands, side-by-side compare shows older versus newer and which tags were added or removed.
From the sheet to the register
Overlays are only useful if they go somewhere. Click-through looks up the tag number in the local database and opens the record. If the extract never made it into the register, you get guidance instead of a dead click — then you know to finish review or create the tag.
When the sheet changes, compare the revisions across drawings
Pick a second revision and the viewer splits older versus newer. Removed tags sit on the older drawing; added tags on the newer. This still is tag-level scope, not a cloud-markup redline of every line change.
What it does
