NCRs
Non-conformance reports as activities in the completions workflow, linked to tags and evidence.
Quality items that can stop a gate belong in the same model as punches. Raise an NCR as a dedicated activity type, or as a punch with NCR labels — both patterns work. Attach evidence, assign corrective work, and keep the record on the tagged item.
Activities can be rejected as a terminal status. Readiness punch rules are the shipped way to stop cert sign-off while matching quality items stay open. This is not an out-of-the-box ISO NCR form with disposition codes and qualified e-sign. It is the completions-quality register you can actually run on site.
Quality that the gate can see
An NCR in a quality-only tool is invisible to MC-1. An NCR on the tag, with a rule that holds sign-off, is not. Configure the type and the matcher; keep the evidence on the equipment.
