Preservation & Maintenance
Preservation as activities on tagged equipment — the same work model as punchlists, not a sidecar CMMS.
Preservation during completions is usually “this motor needs a turn and a photo this week”. That is an activity on a tag: planned dates, a procedure, evidence, an assignee. Doc-u-menT already runs that model for ITR and punch work, so plant-care tasks can live on the same register.
What we do not ship is a maintenance system: no recurrence calendar, no meter-driven PM, no spares. If you need a weekly cycle, you raise or generate the next activity. Honest framing beats a CMMS claim we would have to walk back on a demo.
Care work on the same tag as the ITR
The value is not a new module name. It is that the preservation photo and the ITR for that pump sit on one equipment record, in one My Work list, in one export. That is already more than a sidecar care log.
What it does
- ✓Raise preservation or plant-care work against tagged equipment
- ✓Attach a procedure with checklist steps, evidence, and witness if you need them
- ✓Set planned dates and assign owners into My Work and Lookahead
- ✓Field and desktop run the same activity, with evidence on the record
- ✓Link work to subsystems for system-level visibility
- ✓Label activities so dashboards can separate care work from ITR volume
- ✓Export the list through Data Hub with tags, dates, and attributes
- ✓Flexible enough to model care work without a second maintenance system
Highlights
- • Same evidence and sign-off machinery as commissioning
- • Offline field execution applies if you model the tasks as activities
- • No recurrence engine and no CMMS modules
- • Create a dedicated activity type on the project if you want a separate queue
