Site work
Field direction
Site Instructions
Site instructions issued and closed as activities, visible to field and desktop on the same project.
A site instruction is direction that must be seen, evidenced, and closed against a place in the plant. Model it as an activity type. Target the tag or hierarchy, attach a short procedure for acknowledgement and closeout, and it appears in My Work and on the entity like every other piece of work.
There is no pre-built “SI register” product name in the app today. The honest offer is the activity model: one queue, one hierarchy, no separate instruction mailbox beside completions. If you need a dedicated type, you create it on the project.
Direction that lands on the tag
Instructions fail when they live in email. An activity on the tag is findable, assignable, and closeable. That is the whole argument for putting site direction on the completions model.
What it does
- ✓Raise an instruction against the tag or location it applies to
- ✓Track acknowledgement, evidence, and closeout on the activity
- ✓Assign the instruction into My Work for the people who must act
- ✓Use procedure steps when you need a recorded acknowledgement
- ✓Keep instructions on the same project the field app already has offline
- ✓Label by discipline or area for list and dashboard filters
- ✓Export the instruction list with related tag data
- ✓No separate instruction register beside completions
Highlights
- • Visible to field and desktop on the same record
- • Configure a dedicated type when you want a separate queue
- • Same evidence rules as other site work
- • Not a standalone SI product
